Be Inspired…by the human possibilities coming out of Earthly disasters – it gives hope and the promise of transformation for the future

This email arrived ‘from a friend of a friend’ – it may well be one of those urban legends that does the rounds – however, no matter.  Upon reading it I was struck by the intensity of promise that exists in what we currently regard as ‘disasters’.  The possibility for human connection and transformation of how we relate to each other following the times of change that are surely likely to come is an inspiration to me…and I hope to you too.

Subject: A personal  glimpse

Dear Everyone:
Here is an e-mail from the  friend of a friend presently in Japan. She very movingly describes the  way people are coming together in the course of this disaster. This sort  of personal report is worth so much more than what the msm puts out ….  love Rosie

Hello My Lovely Family and Friends,

First I  want to thank you so very much for your concern for me. I am very  touched. I also wish to apologize for a generic message to you all. But  it seems the best way at the moment to get my message to  you.

Things here in Sendai have been rather surreal. But I am  very blessed to have wonderful friends who are helping me a lot. Since  my shack is even more worthy of that name, I am now staying at a  friend’s home. We share
supplies like water, food and a kerosene  heater. We sleep lined up in one room, eat by candlelight, share  stories. It is warm, friendly, and beautiful.

During the day we  help each other clean up the mess in our homes. People sit in their  cars, looking at news on their navigation screens, or line up to get  drinking water when a source is open. If someone has water running in  their home, they put out sign so people can come to fill up their jugs  and buckets.

Utterly amazingly where I am there has been no  looting, no pushing in lines. People leave their front door open, as it  is safer when an earthquake strikes. People keep saying, “Oh, this is  how it used to be in the old days when everyone helped one  another.”

Quakes keep coming. Last night they struck about every  15 minutes. Sirens are constant and helicopters pass overhead  often.

We got water for a few hours in our homes last night, and  now it is for half a day. Electricity came on this afternoon. Gas has  not yet come on.

But all of this is by area. Some people have  these things, others do not.
No one has washed for several days. We  feel grubby, but there are so much more important concerns than that for  us now. I love this peeling away of
non-essentials. Living fully on  the level of instinct, of intuition, of caring, of what is needed for  survival, not just of me, but of the entire group.

There are  strange parallel universes happening. Houses a mess in some places, yet  then a house with futons or laundry out drying in the sun.

People lining up for water and food, and yet a few people out  walking their dogs. All happening at the same time.

Other  unexpected touches of beauty are first, the silence at night. No cars.  No one out on the streets. And the heavens at night are scattered with  stars. I usually can see about two, but now the whole sky is filled.

The mountains are Sendai are solid and with the crisp air we can  see them silhouetted against the sky magnificently.

And the  Japanese themselves are so wonderful. I come back to my shack to check  on it each day, now to send this e-mail since the electricity is on, and  I find food and water left in my entranceway. I have no idea from
whom, but it is there. Old men in green hats go from door to door  checking to see if everyone is OK. People talk to complete strangers  asking if they need help. I see no signs of fear.
Resignation, yes, but fear or panic, no.

They tell us we can  expect aftershocks, and even other major quakes, for another month or  more. And we are getting constant tremors, rolls, shaking, rumbling. I  am blessed in that I live in a part of Sendai that is
a bit elevated,  a bit more solid than other parts. So, so far this area is better off  than others. Last night my friend’s husband came in from the country,  bringing food and water. Blessed again.

Somehow at this time I  realize from direct experience that there is indeed an enormous Cosmic  evolutionary step that is occurring all over the world right at this  moment. And somehow as I experience the events happening now
in  Japan, I can feel my heart opening very wide. My brother asked me if I  felt so small because of all that is happening. I don’t. Rather, I feel  as part of something happening that much larger than myself. This wave  of
birthing (worldwide) is hard, and yet magnificent.

Thank  you again for your care and Love of me,

With Love in return, to  you  all,

Urge to emerge, ignite and act: thePoint from my perspective

Do you have choice? Are you able to align your will, your thought, your word, your deed with your choice?  And what is your “choice” based on?  Look closely: if your choices are based on “wanting to do or not wanting  to do”, “wanting to be or not wanting to not be”, it’s a limiting place to live from.  And if the message isn’t clear look at Hamlet – he was so tormented by his inability to be with the limited choices open to him “to be or not to be”, that he killed himself.  What a waste of human potentiality – and maybe the world was better off without him!

If those are the only kinds of choices you have you are in service of your past and living in the domain of ego.  What opens up from your past is simply the perceived choice to “do or not do”, “be or not be”, “choose or not choose” from want, need or desire based on ego perceptions.  Sometimes that is sufficient, and more and more, it’s a prison with no true original creation taking place.

Now let’s look at will: will is based on the ability to follow-through on your vision.  It’s an igniting force; a great source for creation and destruction.  Who’s will are you in action of?

Authentic action opens up when you have access to authentic choice – natural intelligence which is connected to and aligned with the infinite natural intelligence of all of Life, and choose to apply your will – that igniting force – in service of that choice.  Here you have access to more than your past – that which the mind already knows.  Authentic action lies in the domain of the unknown; it is the ability to tap into that option which never existed before and choose to do or not do in service of that option.  It lies in the domain of the “impossible” – that which the mind cannot know, because it has never been done before.

Living from this place means you are living with passion and urgency, serving something far greater than the next orgasm, the next house, or the next passport to success.  There is an urgency when you live in this place to express all of the unique expression of the 75 to 100 trillion cells that you are: a once in a forever expression!

The awe of it!  And every day you get up ignited to take that next breath, connect to that person next to you – another once in a forever expression!  When you live here every person holds a secret for you that you can’t wait to decipher.  Life is a party, a game, a puzzle – all of it!! You relish the “good times” and you equally relish the “bad times”.  Life flows for you.  Things seem to align themselves to serve you – to serve your vision, and not just sometimes, because you are in service of Life.

An awesome place to awaken, emerge and act from each moment, each day, where every breath is living, loving and dying fully…and being re-born in the next.  There is  a newness about each moment and there is no mistaking the urgency – like two lovers that are madly in love – except that you are the lover and the moment is the beloved.

So – are you living here?  If  you’re not, then you’re stuck in the past and creating from “not having authentic choice”.  And if that’s the case I won’t mince my words: you are a burden to society, a burden to this planet, and a burden to Life.  You slow down the very expression of Life – the reason you are here.

No need to get “deep and metaphysical” – it really is that simple.  Like a layer of dead skin that has served it’s purpose – which you have in that you have been born into potentiality.  And then, if you are not becoming and living your potentiality every moment of every day, you are stopping the flow of Life expressing itself through you…and you know what happens to dead skin when the pedicurist gets his hands on your feet!!!

Yes, it’s not your fault, you were born into a world, a society, a family that “conditioned” you to be dead. And the fact of it is: you’re still a burden, waiting to die, filling your emptiness with all those things which just prolong the inevitable: the moment of death.  There is a term for this in Stephen Norval’s teaching and in evolutionary emergence teachings:  “the inertia of the ego”.

So the bad news is – that inertia is bloody strong and will keep you trapped forever…. Unless somehow you tap into that urge to emerge and make a choice: to “want to be free more than you want anything else”….Stephen’s words.  Then, you are able to muster enough momentum to break through into freedom.

You know exactly what I mean by wanting to be free.  Except that generally you choose to want to be free when it suits you, when you are desperate, when there is no way out, when it all gets too much…and some of you even try to end it (you’re reading this so I assume you didn’t succeed even there!).

Choosing to want to be free sometimes won’t cut it.  You have to choose to want be free more than you want anything else, “at all times, in all places, through all circumstances, without exception”…more of Stephen’s words!  Need some support with that?  Stephen Norval’s unique series of perspectives are set up exactly to do that: to direct and support you in that journey to set yourself free so that you awaken, emerge and act from authentic choice…So that you live in a state of being ignited and igniting others to live their full potentiality, each moment, of each day and the world becomes a blazing place!

Am I urging you to enrol? Absolutely! Will I gain monetarily? For sure!  However – that is the by-product.  The truth is:  I’m urging you to emerge and act authentically because I have every thing to gain and everything to lose in how you “choose” or “not choose” – how you live your life and how you express on.  Your every choice or not choice impacts me – directly.   And if that’s the “isness” of it, I’d like to ensure that you are making decisions from being aligned with authentic choice, word, deed and action.  By doing your choice is altruistic: it serves you and it serves the whole.

The next thePoint Perspective will be held in Johannesburg from 24th – 27th February, 2011, with an investment of R4000. Very inconvenient I know – and can you still choose to want to be free above all else (more than that dress or golf club), just this once? And again, and again, and again…. Until you are that which you seek.

Inspiration for Today: Absolute Freedom

Have you ever wondered what you would do if you had absolute freedom?

Here’s the clincher, you do!  However you argue it, the truth is; we all have absolute freedom. It is so absolute that we freely make rules, freely give meaning to rules, freely bind ourselves to some or all or none of them, and freely impose them on another in the name of society.

Freedom of the human being is an absolute truth.  Ask any oppressor; oppression is at best temporary, never absolute.

I wonder who you could become if you stepped into your absolute freedom……

Much love,

what happend to free will?

“I guess there is a confusion with the word commitment. For me a commitment is the absolute demonstration of my free will. I am the only person who can make a commitment on my behalf. I think sometimes people regard the word as being forced into something when it is the complete opposite.” ~ Tania M Adams

Inspiration for Today: Free Will

Have you ever wondered what it means to have “free will”?

So often it feels as though we bound by rules and regulations, enslaved by debt, held to ransom with bills to pay, dictated to by the media, fashion and societal expectations of who to be, how to dress, what to earn, where to live.  Can we really say we have free will?

To make a commitment is the highest expression of your free will.  The only thing you will ever completely own is your ability to choose and commit to a different outcome.  You are the only person who can make a commitment on your behalf.  No one can take that away from you.

If you did have free will, what would you commit to today to create life your way….?

 Much love,
