Conscious Leadership Brand

Personal BrandWhen we apply the word ‘brand’ to people we should really be asking for a clearer definition.  At the heart of building people brands, we use the same principles.  Those of self-awareness, understanding our strengths, really getting how we are perceived, making conscious decisions about how best to deliver what it is that makes us successful… and strategic choices about how we put it out there.

Depending on your purpose, the outcomes you are committed to and the role you are in – or want to be in – the really smart stuff is all about consciously causing the effects you want to experience.

The art is in being in action of all of this, whether you are in sales and are looking for better client impact, relationships and the ability to have those difficult conversations – part and parcel of the territory.  And the resulting rise in revenues – afterall, this is how you are ultimately measured.

Or perhaps you are an entrepreneur, a business owner where you clearly are the brand and your bottom line is a direct result of whether people buy into you?

Executives and Leaders may need to focus on both their internal and external impact… And political and celebrity figures, probably the most public of all brands, have a whole array of specific and critical issues to deal with.

People brands – well, let’s face it, we all have one – need to be managed consciously, effectively to produce the outcomes we desire…

mind your own business

Creating the future of business

Creating the future of business does not only focus on profitability anymore, but also on developing a new generation of leaders whose objectives include human development. We can simply not do business anymore without including the triple ‘P’ – people, planet and profit. By using Daniel Goleman’s model on Emotional Quotient, smartRevolution designed a workshop aimed at leadership to develop their listening skills and to use a different approach when interacting with sub-ordinates.  We added in the basic principles of consciousness and focus on awareness and transformation rather than supply companies with a recipe to use like a shopping list.  This proves to be the winning combination to solve the issues that could potentially move a great business model to an award-winning organisation.  This 2 day workshop is called Conscious Self-Management for leaders.  To get more information on this workshop you can contact Karin de Jager at karin@smartrevolution.org.  Following this new approach, companies embark more than ever before on a journey of intervention and coaching to equip the leaders in their organisations with the necessary skill to accomplish this.  The benefits they bring to their organisations and to society are immeasurable.

How lucky are you?

We all have those amazing days.  Lucky days.  You get on the motorway and sail into your office.  There is a mail in your inbox informing you that a payment you had forgotten about has been deposited into your account.  The phone rings and you are told you have been recommended and someone would like to give you some business.  You pop out for lunch and get a parking right in front of the restaurant.  The problem you have been grappling with takes on new life when you suddenly think of a new way forward…

And there are the other days.  The dog days. Nothing works, nothing moves, nothing shifts. Dull as dishwater – demanding, difficult days.

What if you could attract more of the lucky days?  What if creating luck was simply doing what you say you are going to do by when you are going to do it?  Would you be prepared to shift your awareness just a little to get lucky?

How lucky you are has a direct relationship to the degree of integrity you have.  In consciousness terms, integrity is very simply doing what you say you are going to do by when you say you are going to do it.  And your power and probability of achieving your goals and creating more luck in your life is in direct relation to the degree of integrity you have.

So let’s explore this further.  Your ‘conscious self ‘accounts for about 10% of you as a whole.  The remaining 90% – your subconscious is purely a recording device.  A little like a video recorder.  It records everything that ever occurred in your life without judgment or opinion.  Every time you make a commitment to do or say or be something, your subconscious records this.  And if you don’t do it, it just puts a cross in the box next to that commitment.  So if you have loads more crosses than ticks, your 90% is out of sync with your 10% – you are out of integrity with your self and the chances of being lucky are taken off the table.

There is extraordinary power in our word – to ourselves and to others.  Try this out, make a note of everything you commit to and give it a time frame – by when you will do it.  And do all you have committed to for one month.  Start being aware of your luck or providence, coincidence, serendipity, synchronicity, fortuity or very simply, the good stuff turning up.  And let me know how you get on?

be accountable, be empowered

“Everything in life is there because you put it there, consciously or unconsciously.  To the degree that you are willing to be accountable for all the results, in your life, even the ones you don’t like, is to the degree that you are empowered to create new results that you do like. ”~ Tania M Adams
