My primary role in the business is as Senior Coach and Enterprise Development Mentor. I am responsible for determining the strategic direction of the company, and am also the lead-consultant on Enterprise Development initiatives where it relates specifically to Broad-based BEE compliance.
I have extensive operational management experience, having begun my first business at the age of 23. I have worked in numerous companies; SMME to large corporate, covering the ICT, manufacturing and service sectors, and have accumulated a wide range of experience in Operational Management.
My interest in the Broad Based elements of BEE started in 2004, when I started looking into what it would take to make a developing economy such as the one in South Africa, more inclusive.
Considering the enormity of the task of stimulating economic growth across all industry sectors in South Africa and simultaneously addressing the various social inadequacies that much of the country is suffering, I surmised that the only way to do this lies in the dti’s “Codes of Good Practice”, and most specifically in the Enterprise Development element.
I have consulted to a number of organisations across South Africa on how to find operational value and efficiencies in broad-based black economic empowerment, and how companies can make the most of opportunities within the structure and regulations of B-BBEE.
I worked within the Caird Group, consulting to businesses across South Africa on the ideas of Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment; what commercial and operational value is to be found in them, and how to implement them.
From this vantage point I branched into focussing specifically on Enterprise Development and finding opportunities for investment into the emerging economy and specifically into black-owned enterprises.
I am a qualified Consciousness Coach®, and a member of COMENSA and the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
