Hi! I am an Executive Coach and a Trainer / Learning Facilitator specializing in Diversity & Inclusion programs as well as in the Science of Happiness at Work and Customer Service Excellence.
So, what does that mean?
Let’s take the Diversity & Inclusion subject first: I understand the language of cultural differences. More specifically, I understand the complexities of intercultural communications. And to start at the very basics, what I do is to work with individuals to highlight their cultural profile, so that I can help them get a deeper understanding of how their own culture impacts on what they think, feel and do each day at work. Once someone has that introspective consciousness, then it becomes easier for them to understand and to work with – not just ‘tolerate’ - others.
Diversity in the workplace is not just a tick-box. When an effective Diversity and Inclusion Program is implemented in organizations, it creates an environment conducive to doing good business. And it creates a level of Happiness at Work that in turn drives performance.
Working with ‘The Science of Happiness at Work’, based on Jessica Pryce-Jones’ research findings, enables me to quickly diagnose the elements that are causing individuals and teams to be under-performing at work. Similarly, once we have that knowledge, we can do something about it. i.e. devise bespoke Learning & Development Programs to address the issues we’ve discovered. Because we now can trace the link between Happiness at Work and performance / productivity.
And, so, it’s not surprising that much of my work leads to the subject of Customer Service Excellence. When people feel accepted and respected for who they are and they are Happy at Work, then we can start to build a culture of Customer Service Excellence, using motivational and inspiring interventions to shift clients’ consciousness about how to be of service to others.
Want to know a bit more about me? Well, I’m British but I’ve lived in many different countries over the past 20 years, from the U.S.A. to Nigeria, from France to Indonesia, from Mexico to Russia. But now I’m permanently based here in Johannesburg with my husband and two children and we are very happy to be living in such a wonderful country.
